Plastic is slighlty oxygen permeable. Glass is easier to keep
sanitary. Glass allows you to peek at your beer to observe how
things are going without having to open the lid. Glass does not
get stained or discolored. Unfortunately, glass is heavier, breakable,
more expensive, and you can't easily drill holes in it. Glass
can shatter if you pour too-hot liquid into it.
